Valpelline, a quiet tourist location situated at an altitude of 960 meters, is nestled in a verdant alpine basin, surrounded by extensive meadows, orchards, and rugged mountain landscapes, with high peaks and glaciers. The village, once known for its copper mining industry, today shines for the production of the famous DOP Fontina cheese, with unique aging warehouses carved into the rock, one of which is located inside the old mine.
